bad spark plug wires?

last night i got a CE light, its got a rough idle. today i checked all the plug wires to make sure they were tight on the distributor cap. then made sure they were on the spark plugs tight. the wire on the #4 cylinder gave me a little tingle. actually it threw my arm back. but would that be normal? i just took a class last year on engine performance and i dont believe its a normal occurance. i just replaced the plugs, plug wire, cap and rotor about 4 months ago. bad wire maybe? what do yall think? its a 95 5.0

If they're original grey Ford wires with numbers, replace them with 8-9mm silicone wires, and route them exactly this way:

This thread describes how to pull, read, & clear pre-'96 codes with a paperclip.

Steve 83. I followed your link to wire routing. Is the wire routing the same for a 1993 f150 5.0?

Yes, it's the same routing. Ford release a TSB for the plug wire routings. To much energy being transfered to the number 8 plug.

You could always check your wires for leaks too. Take a spray bottle of water outside at dark and let the truck run. Mist the wires with your spray bottle. If you see sparks, time for new wires. The current will arc on the water. Pretty cool to see if you actually have faulty wires.

Not that I ever had bad wires before and used this technique myself.

Yeah right!

well i just replaced the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor about 4 months ago. i hooked a scan tool up to it yesterday and got some fuel related codes. i also poured sea foam into the pcv system to clean the intake, valves, ect. yesterday part ot the KOER test required flooring the accelerator and it ended up blowing out alot more smoke. i guess i didt get it all out, and probly had carbon biult up around the exhaust port, causing it to run poorly. it runs fine every since in did it!

Steve 83. Took your suggestion. It looked liked something on Twilight Zone. It was cool! The wires that are on there now are only about 2 months old. Any suggestions on what wires to get or which ones to avoid? Keep the humor and good advice coming. I love it!
Thanks.

No, it's not. That's why that diagram says '94-up. For '93-back, use this:
